Urgent Ortho FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions Green Road Sign with Dramatic Clouds and Sky.

(Note: Urgent Ortho is NOT a credentialed “Urgent Care Center” – it is an orthopaedic clinic)

Do I need an appointment?

We provide care on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins are encouraged. No appointment or referral* is needed.

Who treats patients?

Every walk-in patient is treated by an orthopaedic provider who specializes in muscle, bone and joint care.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please call or check the home page for updates on holiday schedules and/or closures. It is a good idea to arrive as early in the day as possible as wait times increase throughout the day.

Do you treat Chronic Pain ?

No. We do not treat chronic back pain, hip or leg pain; for these issues (more than a month old), contact the NAO main office number at 928-774-7757 to make an appointment with our NAO specialists. You can also request an appointment online at NorthAZortho.com.

What do you treat?

The types of acute orthopaedic injuries we treat at Urgent Ortho are:

  • Muscle & Joint Pain (we only treat chronic pain in our Spine and Pain Center – call to request a visit)
  • Work Injuries
  • Sports Injuries
  • Sprains & Strains
  • Fractures & Breaks
  • Dislocations
  • Recent back injuries/flare-ups

So, you don’t treat all injuries?

Certain injuries are best suited for the
Emergency Room, such as:

  • When the bone is visible or there is an
    open wound over the fracture
    (compound fracture).
  • When the bone is fractured at a
    severe angle.
  • When there are cuts and/or deep lacerations.

What do I bring with me?

When you walk into Urgent Ortho, please have your insurance card or information handy. We take most insurances. If you need X-rays, we will take them here, on-site. If you are under the age of 18, we will need a parent or guardian with you. Be prepared to provide your e-mail address.

How can I contact Urgent Ortho?
