Her career in medicine began while working full-time on ambulances as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) while obtaining her undergraduate degrees in Psychology, Communications and Neuroscience at the University of Arizona. She moved to Flagstaff in 2001 and continued her career at Flagstaff Medical Center, initially in the Behavioral Health department, then in the Emergency Department. Following her seven-year career, she went to Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, Calif., where she obtained her graduate degree in Physician Assistant studies. Upon graduation, she was lucky enough to return to Flagstaff and begin caring for patients at Northern Arizona Orthopaedics (NAO). Tara worked briefly in Total Joint Reconstruction before transitioning into the Hand and Upper Extremity sub-specialty.
Tara is passionate about patient care and strives to provide individualized treatment and detailed education to each and every patient. While not working Tara spends her time with her wonderful family enjoying the outdoor opportunities Flagstaff has to offer.
