Dr. Mellinger is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in treating disorders of the upper extremity. His areas of interest include joint replacement, fracture care, athletic and sports related injuries, nerve disorders, congenital disorders, and arthroscopy of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Prior to becoming an Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon, Dr. Mellinger worked as an engineer. He made the decision to dedicate himself to medicine while volunteering in surgical clinics in Mexico. He joined Northern Arizona Orthopaedics in 2003.
Dr. Mellinger , his wife Dr. Kirsten Mellinger, an local optometrist, and their two children enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and photography.
