Northern Arizona Orthopaedics, the region’s largest orthopedic practice, is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Michael Sorensen and Dr. Hayden Poulson to their team beginning in July 2020. With the addition of these new physicians, the Northern Arizona Orthopaedics team has grown to 11 orthopedic and spine specialists, covering the entire spectrum of orthopedic conditions. The physicians will be practicing in the Flagstaff and Prescott Valley offices.
Michael Sorensen, MD, has over 30 years of clinical experience and is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and utilizes the latest non-surgical options to treat conditions of the spine, shoulder, knee and hip. Dr. Sorensen completed his internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. In 2001, Dr. Sorensen became an instructor the Spine Intervention Society and still proudly serves in this role. He is also an active member of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Medical Association. Dr. Sorensen will be seeing patients in the Prescott Valley clinic.
Hayden Poulson, DPM, is fellowship trained in Foot and Ankle Surgery and treats a variety of conditions using both non-surgical and surgical techniques. Dr. Poulson completed his fellowship training at Salt Lake Orthopaedic Clinic and his internship and residency at Tuba City Regional Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. During his time at Tuba City Regional Medical Center, he developed a true appreciation for the cultures and the people of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. Dr. Poulson will be seeing patients in the Prescott Valley and Flagstaff clinics.
